Ford had his opinion but I think the main problem is with the mainstream media. Anything against Bush or his policies will get front page. If Ford was for the war we wouldn't have heard anything about it. The bias against Bush is obvious and stinks to high heaven!!

He was right to criticize Bush We went into Iraq under false pretenses Al Qiuda was not there until after we invaded Iraq . No W.M.D.s were ever found Saddam had no ties to Bin-laden You may like Bush I think he is an idiot and should have been removed from office long ago. I was not fond of Ford either I disagreed with his pardoning Tricky Dick But where Bush is concerned he was 100% Right.

Gerald Ford has the RIGHT as an American to criticize his president...So do I ...so do you.
Can't you see when a president misleads his country and it's citizens it is EVERYONE's ..DUTY... to hold him accountable.
Questioning our politicians is an American obligation!!
They were elected to represent us!!
By the people for the people!!
God Bless America.
I would like to ask all Americans to please read or/and reread the constitution.
If not you ....then who?
Every American deserves it! Especially the proud men and women of our military who fight and DIE for our liberties!!!!
They deserve to be led by our best and brightest!!!!!!
They deserve to have a Commander in Chief who respects the office of the President of the United States and all that stands for!!!

did he? i have new found respect for the man. jefferson, lincoln franklin were liberals in some respect too, (so was you're mom) i'm sure. Its not a dirty word.. its not like calling someone a nazi, or fascist. Your only bringing down the level of debate in this country. Its like your pal McCarthy said that a two party sytem in which one makes an enemy of the other cannot long endure as a free nation.

There's sort of an unwritten law whereby living Former President's do not criticize the current president or other former President's. So when the last distinguished Republican President leaves special instructions to a journalist to release his private thoughts after death--Kudo's to him and any other conservative who let's out thoughts of indifference in life or death.

Gerald Ford a liberal? I don't think so. You don't have to be liberal to realize the war in Iraq was a bad idea, badly executed.

It's sad to see how low AIPAC/PNAC slaves will go in disparaging other people, even to the point of attacking a recently deceased ex-President, just because of their disagreement with their President's policies. You and your ilk make a bad name for the few Republicans who don't act like pissy little children and can respect the fact that not everyone will fall in lockstep with your views. If you don't like the fact that people in this country can and will dissent, you're more than welcome to move to Iran.
