I fell on my knee and scrapped it with glass that was broken on the floor this past new years and it's dug in deep. my work only has the triple anitibiotic ointment... and i wanted to put some on it but then it made me wonder what the difference was.

O yeah, any ideas on how to keep this sucker from leaving a scar would be great!!!!!!

Thanks!

Different types of antibiotic preparation tend to have a better effect on different kinds of organisms. If you don't know what organism it is invading you, you really don't know how to match the infection to the best anti-bio. BUT when we are dealing with an infection that we know is probably just a low-level, non -life threatening "critter", if you hit it with a "triple-whammy" - designed to cover most of those particular kind of infecting agents, you are more likely than not, going to have it zapped. This "triple-antibiotic" preparation is designed for this purpose.
About the scar? You said that you scraped your knee, not cut it open, and you don't mention having had stitches. But I can't really tell from what you say. If it wasn't an open wound and you didn't have stitches, you will most likely not have a scar that anybody could see without a microscope LOL. But if you are that worried about cosmetic appearance, when whatever scabbing there is, comes off, you can start massaging in a little coco butter preparation, that you can find in any store over with their cosmetics and non-prescription stuff. It will keep the skin soft as it rebuilds its strength, and that will help it to complete the healing process more evenly.

Triple antibiotic ointment contains three antibiotics, preferable for protecting from infection. Perhaps you should see a physician for it.
In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!
