I hope you backed it up somewhere. Otherwise, you may need to utilize some disk repair fluid. You can get it at any Media Play store (OOPS they're gone). You are out of luck.

There is a kit you can buy at target and walmart for cheap to take the scratches off and restore your cd. Good luck. '-)

This is a temporary solution.. hold the scrathched CD under water... and clean the surface from inside out... Most of the times this trick works!!

If it is a CD or DVD you can get a good quality disk buffer at most electronic stores that sell CD's and DVD's.

u can use isobuster available from www.isobuster.com
its pretty good...it can copy the cd skipping the unreadable sectors...first clean the cd with the above procedures then try this...hope it works..

its difficult still if the data is important its better yo get it checked by an expert.
