Well, except for the fact that feelings of love (or attraction) make a body feel good, hatred is never healthy for the body or mind.

That being said, I'm not so sure love is "blind." In what way is it? We are attracted to others for any number of common reasons; physical beauty, a sense of humor, intelligence, etc. Now, it's certainly possible that we could be physically attracted to someone, IN SPITE of that person having other negative personal traits.

Then, yes, love is "blind" to the things we'd like to ignore.

Hatred can be "blind" if its something like racism, where you think of and/or treat someone of another race as inferior. That's being "blind" to all of their positive personal traits simply because of the color of their skin or nationality.

Love and hate are at opposite ends of the same emotion [with apathy being dead center], and so I can't see why they're not subject to the very same logical fallacies.

Love isn’t blind it just makes you see the best in people. Hatred makes you see the worst in people. The more you love someone the more you see their good traits. Most people are either lovers or haters in general. People who generally see the best in people (that they have come to know) are lovers. Those who generally see the worst in people they know are haters. Indifference is blind because you can’t see the good or the bad in the person. Indifference is lack of feeling and is what psychopaths have. You should only be able to be indifferent about people you have never known.

Love is illuminating, hate is darkening and indifference is blind. Love can be blinding like when the sun shines in your eye and hate can be blinding when it’s so dark that your eyes can’t adjust, but indifference is always blind. You miss more in the dark than you do in the light and you miss everything when you are blind.

I think this is an unfair question. Not all love is blind...only a small fraction of it is sadly...as for hatred...well it seems to me hatred is more blind then love. Understanding leads to empathy. And when some one refuses to see both sides of an issue, they become blinded by their primal hate.

Tricky question.

"Indifference" is the absence of love. It is when you truly understand that there is no emotion behind an attitude about someone/thing.

Hatred is part of love. It is part of learning the totality of emotions --- when feeling this emotion, there is ties to a strong feeling/ desire that isn't being meet. So, like "love's blinding" --- hatred is also blinding. In fact, any emotion in extreem variences can lead us to be blind to aspects around us.

Everything in moderation is the most logical place to be!!!

As viewed from the duality of emotions conditional love is blind because it only sees Good. Hatred is the opposite, it only sees evil. As the colors of the rainbow are contained within sunlight, so to Fear, anger, hate, possiveness, greed, etc. are contained within Human emotions. God, by the light of his will in unconditional love, sees all things united, perfect, one, whole, Good.

Worry is an activity of the mind that is unconnected with Love. Hate is the most severely damaging mental condition one could choose to live with. It poisons the body, and the effects are virtually irreversable.
Fear is Worry Magnified.
Worry
Hate, Fear
Anxiety, condemnation
Bitterness, Judgmentalness
Impatience, Unkindness all attack the body on a cellular level. It is impossible to have a healthy body under these conditions.

So, LOOK RIGHT AT HATE! NEVER DISMISS IT! Or it will chase you all over hell and back. what you resist will persist. See the perfection in everything. Condemn it not, for you do not know its purpose in relation to you and the bigger purpose. Nothing happens by accident. Everyone comes to you to bring you a gift.

They say that there is a fine line between love and hate, so I guess hatred would also be blind.

Hatred is a test of the existence of love.

You hate the most when the object of most of your love fails you.
(be it: parents, boyfriend, grilfriend,etc...)

Love is blind as it does not judge.
Hatred is wearing sunglasses and pretending to be blind. (?)

hahaha...nvr thought about that b4... hmm... : )
