but they once didn't? Do they not still have their own opinions on things?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Keep in mind couples usually form betwwen people who have similar tastes to begin with. Plus once together they are exposed to a lot of the same things. Those combine to a result where yes they often like a lot of the same things.

But not always. Sometimes they will disagree on bands, movies, books...anything! But in most relationships there is a large degree of comprimise. He may not like Her favourite band, but he'll still listen to it with Her (sometimes maybe even without her just to undestand her better). She may hate football, but will watch it with him Monday nights to spend time with him.

Sometimes after listening to your partners...say favourite band... for a while you start to appreciate the band yourself.

Ultimately... of course they have their own opinions. And they don't always agree, and they do fight over what movie to watch or what music to listen to. Polite couples just don't do it in front of you so you never really know.

After you're around someone for so long and feel comfortable with that person, you start to rub off on each other. You begin to enjoy the same things, but there will always be stuff that you both individually like, too.

I think it depends on who had the tv and remote first! :-)

I feel I have to watch what tv show my bf has on in the livingroom, on his tv but my couch! IF I go in the bedroom to watch my tv, he accuses me of not spending time with him.

I flatly refuse to sit there ideally by though to wait for him to fall asleep and start snoreing, before I can leave the damn room!!
