I had one fitted 3 years ago, and had it removed a year ago. The procedure to have it fitted was uncomfortable, a bit like having a pap smear. Afterwards I had cramps for the rest of the day, but by the next morning I was fine. Having it removed wasn't as bad, and was surprised to find that the doctor had already removed it after a minute or so.
Hope this helps hun x

It doesn't hurt but it can be slightly uncomfortable.
As with a smear test you'll lie on your back with your knees apart. the dr/nurse will then insert a speculum into your vagina to hold it open. The uncomfortable part is when the thin tube containing the coil enters the womb through your cervix..you will feel a slight pinch similar to a period pain. it doesnt take more than 5 mins or so in total and is very worth it. you may have slight tummy cramps for a few hours after.

Hi, I had it fitted on tues 2nd jan, so still fresh in my mind, so to speak!!
No, it didn't hurt, the scrape before hand was uncomfortable but he fitted the coil before I'd realised. The bleeding was only slight but has stopped now, just getting a few stomach cramps, a bit like bad period pains.
Hope you get on ok

Each woman is different when they get any kind of IUD put in. I had horrible cramping when they put mine in and 3 days after that I started bleeding and bled for almost 2 months. But its now been around 90 days sense I've had a period which I don't like. Make sure that you do a lot of research on it before you decide to get it. You do get pregnant quite often on it but the IUD just stops the fertilized egg from implanting into the uterus, and eptopic pregnancy's are very common with any kind of IUD. Ever sense I stopped bleeding from having it put it I spot randomly and never know when and I get random cramps that are not fun feeling. But like I said each woman is different in how their body reacts to it,

I know 3 people who have had one fitted - friend one has one really happy with it says didn't hurt at all, my sister had one and had period type cramping for a few hours after but said it was worth it as sorted out her heavy periods, friend 3 was in agony - said cramping was worse than labour and was in pain and blleding for several weeks and bloated for months and eventually had it taken after about 5 months. So I think it
really depends on your boby as how it is going to affect you. Hopefully if you have one you will have no problems. Good luck with it.

Had mine for a year and a bit. Didn't hurt when it was fitted, though was uncomfortable. was advised by my doctor to have a glass of wine prior to it being fitted, to relax me??
Not sure how the thing affects everyone, my only down side was bleeding sporadically after, and mega mood swings NOW!

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant herehttps://tr.im/5qUwG
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

i have one fitted and no it doesnt hurt at all, you dont even know its there.ive never had any cramps or spotting with it.but the one big downside with me having it in was i have fallen pregnant so make sure your gyn inserts it properly, and always make sure you make regular booking with him so he can check its always there or you too could end up in my shoes and having a bub.
