Are there any water bottles or other water sources for a guinea pig that will keep the cage cleaner for more than one day? I know she's looking for attention by emptying her bottle but I can't keep changing her cage on a daily basis. I need some suggestions.

The water bottle we currently have is the type that hangs off the side of the cage. The g-pig just keeps poking the bottle with her nose to make the water run out. We've tried 3 different bottles and she keeps doing the same thing.

My guinea pig did the same thing for a very long time, it drove me crazy! The only thing that worked was when we put a brick or two under the "faucet." In the summer time they lay on them and cool off, and it also wears down the nails. Very convenient!

I've never known to have guinea pigs empty their water bottles for attention. Maybe the ball isn't holding in all the water or the top isn't on securely. Check these first and if she's still emptying it let me know (just send me a message on here)

You might want to buy a better water bottle for the guinea pig.
If you already have a water bottle, Try putting a small bowl type
under the water bottle and see if that helps alot.

The best thing is a water bottle that clips to the side of the cage. They come in different sizes. This should stop all the mess!!!

get a cat for your child. Dont feed it for 3 days then put in in the guinea pigs cage. Nature will take it's course and your child and yourself will have a much happier life.
