Is it true that you can determine the sex of your baby by your diet (preconception), pH levels, conception/ovulation method, etc..? I've been reading books that say they are 94% effective in determining sex if followed. WDYT?

ROFL ....no. The chromosomes in the sperm that fertilizes the egg determines the sex. If the dad is shooting all y's, you'll get a boy. If they're all x's you'll get a girl. If there's a mix, you'll get whatever you get.

well i know depending where u are in ur mensral cycle can really help ur chances of having either a boy or girl. boy sperm swim faster but die quicker and girl sperm swim slower but stay alive longer. so depending where u are in ur cycle and where the egg is can really help get u what u want. Talk to a doc and get more info on all this. if the egg is up high just starting to ovulate then ur most likely gonna have a girl cause the boy sperm has died off befor reaching that high. If the egg is low out of the follopian tube in the uterus then a boy is most likely cause the boys are there and the girls are still lagging behind. Just talk to a doc to make sure u do all u can do to get the results u want. all in all im sure u will be happy with what ever the good Lord gives u. good luck and God Bless

Well, maybe, but a 94% effective rate is really not saying much when you think about it. When you are on birth control, do you really trust a method that is only 94% effective? It sounds like a big number, but the truth is you are going to have what you are going to have. If you tried all these methods and wanted a boy and then had a boy, you'd say they worked. However, if you had a girl anyway, then you would have to say it didn't work. When it comes down to it, you won't care what sex your baby is when you are holding him or her in your arms.

No you can't determine the sex...its based on the male sperm and whether or not the egg is fertilized with a male sperm or a female sperm.

Sometimes. some say boys kick more and lay in odd positions. don't rely on that as your answer.
