FIRST- I am an animal lover! So please no bashing. I've taken my young nephew to the circus the past 2 years but now my sister has said she doesn't want him going anymore. She has lots of literature from animal rights groups (she hasn't shared with me yet, but will) and believes the animals are being mistreated. But I wonder if there is another side to the story? I find it hard to believe that circuses could beat and torture animals in this day and age and get away with it, there's so much scrutiny! Searching the web all I find are tons of sites sponsored by animal rights organizations. How can I find the other side as seen by impartial third parties? Don't the circuses contribute to breeding and conservation programs with the big cats? I want to be able to read information from both sides of the issue.

Facts can be found but that is not what you asked for. Don't listen to PETA.
