I started my cycle on Dec.27th and it ended on Dec.29th. Me and my husband are going to try to have a baby so I didn't start my new pack of pills. It is now Jan.2nd and I have lite cramping. I'm not suppose to ovulate until Jan.10th.
For a couple of months I was already feeling pregnant and we did several tests and they were negative.

What is going on?

I just got off my pills 3 days ago and I have lite cramping and a clear discharge. Am I ovulating early? According to a ovulation calendar I wasn't suppose to ovulate until Jan.10th?

Might be an idea to see your GP and discuss. If you are going to try for a baby they like to do blood tests etc on you anyway so an oportunity to have a general once over

Hi there. I don't think you have anything to worry about. you said that you had your period on the 27th dec and it finished on the 29th which i presume is a normal cycle for you?
You have stopped taking your contraceptive pill which means that your body is now getting back into having normal periods.
When I decided to stop taking the pill, I ran untill the end of the 3 week pack and had the "pill" period but then didn't continue taking it anymore, i then got my normal period a few days after that, which was annoying having 2 periods in 2 weeks.but your body has to get back into it's normal cycle again.
This is maybe why you're cramping again, you may be due your normal period. Pregnancy test can be quite accurate and can predict pregnancy from very early on, rememeber your body has been full of hormones from the pill for a long time so the fact that you have stopped taking them can also make you feel a little different to normal. Obviously if you are worried then the best thing to do is to make an appointment with your doctor.
I do hope this has shed some light on your query,
melanie

I was told by a doctor that when you get off the pill, you will more then likely ovulate two days after the first missed pills, instead of your regular time. At first I was like, not me...I've been on the pill for years. Well, guess he was right.. I'm 14 weeks pregnant now. Good luck to you.

Your body is getting used to not having the birth control pills. You might even have some spotting for awhile until the hormones get out of your system.

It's more than likely your body adjusting to not taking your pill. I'm not a Doc so I would be inclined to make an appointment just for a health check...blood pressure ...the usual thing.

I would think that your body is adjusting to its own natural cycle, you might find that your period is sooner than anticipated simply because you are not forcing it into an unnatural pattern, after a couple of months it should settle down and you will be able to see a new pattern developing.
Good luck!

It sounds like it could be your body going back to it's natural cycle after stopping the pill x

sounds to me like your body is going through a natural withdrawal process from the pill. Probably all normal but if you are worried call your GP and ask for advice!!
