It depends on your current weight and height but generally around 2000 a day. In you last trimester you need an extra 300 calories a day.
We all eat a little bit extra at christmas. If you go back to eating normally, your weight will soon correct itself.
Take it easy at the gym, listen to your body and don't get too hot.

dont believe the old rule of "eating for two"!!! like everyone said 300 extra calories is the general rule. instead of eating 3 bigger meals a day, go for 6 smaller portioned meals, it will help speed up your metabolism and keep the extra extra weight at bay since you are unable to get too much exercise. even after your baby is born, eating this way will help take all the baby weight off too! trust me it works!!

Just eat a healthy diet, forget about the gym. Looking after two small children and working full time is more than enough exercise (stress?) to keep your weight just right for this pregnancy. Good luck and enjoy it!

Being pregnant they said you should eat 300 more calories a day than your normal diet. Walking is good exercise even if it's 20 minutes a day. But don't punish yourself by not eating enough--baby needs your nutrition!!

Normally a man can eat 2,500 calories a day and a woman can eat 2,000, however if we women are pregnant or breastfeeding, we can have an extra 500, taking our total calorie daily allowance to 2,500! How you use the extra is up to you! My extra gets used on chocolate!!!!!

melissa said it best. You need about 300 extra calories.. but nothing more. If you exercise, you might need to eat more. Calculate your daily caloric intake.. and figure out how many calories you need to maintain your weight, based on how much you weigh, your height, and your activity level. Then, add 300.. and voila!
