well for me i did a bunch of things to induce my labor with my daughter. all in one day (on a tuesday) i walked around two malls, ate spicey foods, drank castor oil mixed with juice and even did an eniema. and by 6:15 am the next morning (on wednesday) my water broke and i was in labor. so for me it worked and i have read stories where some of that worked for other people as well, but it just all depends on how your body and the baby react to it. it is kind of just a shot in the dark using self inducing methods. but believe the castor oil was really bad and i threw up all over my bed from it. it kind of sucked. good luck and only do what you feel comfortable with.

Be certain you know what your getting into! Castrol oil is a petroleum oil, not to be taken internally. I assume you mean Castor oil, but to that I do not know the answer. I believe it an old wives tale.

Caster Oil makes you throw up and give you dirreaha. The only way it would make you go into labor is if you're near labor already and the convulsions of your throwing up are severe enough to break your water, or at the least trigger contractions. But really, is throwing up and pooping everywhere really how you want to spend your labor?

no. it will make you throw up, it will make you have diarrhea... but everyone I have ever asked... including doctors, midwifes, Douala's, nurses, and other mothers.. told me no.
Of course, being bullheaded as I was.. I tried it anyway, and sure enough... I spent the next 4 hours throwing up and sitting on the toilet. Lovely. No labor.

For many years it was used to induce labor. Sometimes it even works. Do not try it without medical consent.

well it worked for me and my best friend but i wouldnt reccomend trying it until the baby is full term! i think it only works if you are and baby is ready for labor ie ripened cervix etc x

No, just made me throw up.No labor.I wouldn't try it if I were you, it can also make the baby have a bowel movement inside your womb-not good.
