No I know how to use Internet slang or shorten words for text messaging... but when I'm typing something important I type correctly. :)

Well, no not really. I IM a lot with shortened words, but as you can see I'm on Yahoo! Answers typing correctly. And I have no trouble. I'm typing as fast as I would be if I were typing this answer like this:
well no not rly, i IM alot w/ shrtnd wrds but as u can c i'm on yahoo anwrs typin crrctly and i hav no troubl i'm typin as fast as i would b if i wer typin dis anwr lik dis.....
See? Well actually you can't 'cause you can't see how fast I type. But it's no trouble at all....

I don't use abbreviations. I take the time to spell properly and use punctuation even when texting. It's a pet peeve of mine.
