No. If you plant them in the garden, a bottle of Pepsi will grow.

No. The Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis, Indiana takes them. It is associated with a children's hospital (I think it's Riley Children's Hospital, which is one of the best in the U.S.). I think the Ronald McDonald house provides a place to stay for families of children who are long-term patients in the hospital so they can be nearby and not have to pay for long-term stay in a hotel. For more details, do an internet search for Ronald McDonald House Charities. This will tell you where to drop them off (I have no idea where you are from or how else you can participate if you do not live nearby) and some background information on the charity. Our local schools here collect pop tabs for this cause (you might want to check local schools in your area, too). I think they just turn the tabs into recycling and the value is donated, but I'm not sure. So, you could take the recycling response from another poster and donate the money.

I read this twice. The way you layer longer story-related prose is admirable, and something I have much trouble with. You make it seem effortless, natural, but all of us who write know the opposite is true. I often measure the effectiveness of a piece by the number of TD's........Jealousy rears it's green head. Kudos to you, Mr Carney.

Why do some ppl do that? I used to think it had something to do with kidney dialysis but I really don't know what the deal is with that.
