It is most likely baby--but usually women feel something like that later on in pregnancy when baby is a lot bigger and pressing on nerves. If it is really bothersome, just ask your OB about it. It does not sound serious.

Your Virginia? Who says the entire state belongs to you?
I agree, there are lovely butterflies in Virginia, particularly Monarchs and Eastern Tiger Swallowtails. But I haven't seen any flying around since it got cold in November.
Perhaps you are asking about your VAGINA (not your Virginia, which is a state like Maryland or South Carolina).
I felt my baby's first movements at 16.5 weeks. But the baby isn't in your vagina. Should be several inches above that in your uterus. So this might be something else that your are feeling, but for the life of me, I don't know what. Maybe caterpillars?

Virginia is a state honey.
Do you mean that you feeling something in your vagina? "Butterfly" flutters are usually felt a little higher up than that, but certainly it's normal to begin feeling them around your gestational age.
