My report has to be 5-8 pages long but, its double spaced. I want it to be interesting enough to hold my attention. I have to have an outline, parenthetical documentation, etc. I am stumped. HELP ME PLEASE!!! I need to get this finished ASAP!!

I think that puppy mills would be a wonderful subject to write about. You can learn about why people shouldn't buy from pet stores and help educate others about the horrible conditions animals are raised in.

Hi! I hope this helps. I noticed that the answers people are giving you suggest some good topics, but you also have questions on other things like outlines, parenthetical documentation, etc. So I am going to help you out with that. As far as an outline, whenever I wrote papers for my college writing class where I had to have an outline, I wrote the paper first, and then got my outline from that. I know that it is backwards, but that worked the best for me. I mean, if you write your paper in sections, with subtitles, then you basically have a good outline. As far parenthetical documentation, that is basically citing the reference work that you are quoting, both in the paper and at the end of the paper. For English, the best one to use would be MLA citation style. Hey, for help with how to use MLA style and how to write a good paper, the best website online is http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/. My English teacher turned me on to it. While it may say it is college level, there is no reason why it won't work for a high school senior, especially if you have to write the report in order to graduate. It has some really awesome resources, even for such things as grammar and such. Anyway, hope this helps.

rawalts answer is great. Shakespearian plays and such are so comparative to life now, pick something 'old' and see how it compares to today or how it's set the mood for life today... For example, Romeo and Juliet has been the story line for so many great movies...Save the last dance; west side story, etc Ok, i'm on the spot, but almost any love story where they're not supposed to be together is inspired by this!
