Can anyone give me a fool proof explation of homebrew's and such?

Ok see i've got my psp running the current firmware (3.3 unfortunately) i want to play snes games and ps1 games with homebrews but i ain't gotta a clue - nothing made any kind of sense to me on any website i've been on. I NEED A FOOL PROOF EXPLANATION OF WHAT TO DO. anybody up for the challenge. please pretty please

Hi, can't tell you about PSP homebrew as i have only done DS homebrew but this is the site i like to use it may be of some help.
