What i mean is, if you're lets say, a Michigan Wolverines fan, but she's an ohio state fan, would you try to make her change, and root for Michigan?
*any sport,any team...just making her change to your team*
or would you let her root for who she likes and not try to change her.

I would never try and change anyone's team choices. I think that shows an insecurity and failure to accept other people and their life style choices. A secure man can accept your choice on whatever subject and if you disagree then a secure man can agree to disagree.
Is there anything more to your question than this?

Let her root and pull for the other team just for the compotition of it.

I respect her choice, and always root for her team when mine is eliminated - which is more often than not.
