I think you can skimp on some of the "clothing" in an outfit sometimes when it comes to price, but, for a woman, spending big time on accessories like shoes and a great handbag can really pull together a basic, blah or inexpensive outfit. I've never paid over $200 for a shoe, but would do so for a bag, especially if it were leather or some other fine quality. I think it's somewhat crazy to spend $200 on jeans, as you can find good quality jeans for under $100. For men, I think spending more on outerwear really matters, as well as on shoes.

The shoes were about $100, the purse was $218, jeans $120, and the jacket $480. However, I didn't buy the jacket I got it for my birthday.

I usually don't go to lable shops.
I buy clothes that have class. But the price is also decisive to me.
For Jeans : up to 30€
pullovers up to 30€ once even
shoes are the most expensive : 15€ - 200€

i spend the most on jeans mainly. i also have spent a lot of a few purses. i wear polos everyday so i can get those in bulk for cheap, but the most of spent on an outfit is.....maybe $120-150. that was ewhen i bought great classic pieces i can wear forever!

I spent 215€ (I'm french) for my Prada sunglasses but if I'd have a lot of money I 'd spend a lot in clothes, purses....

I spent around $450 on a shalwar kameez (pakistani outfit)...it was for my cousin's wedding and we're really close so since i was her bridesmaid, i got a customized outfit to match just like hers....it cost me big bucks but i think it was worth it....
