Im waiting for my doctors office to call me back.. my doctor is out of the office (as usual) and his replacement is swamped, so they are being really slow. I figured since people answer so quickly on here, I would ask this.
This is my second pregnancy.. and I dont remember anything like this with my first. I started having braxton contractions at about 4 pm last night.. really random, no pattern.. but really painfull. They slowly went away and were replaced by a constant pressure and pain on my cervix and abdomen. This constant pain would last for 20-30 minutes, then go away.. no gush of fluids, no blood.. although I did lose my mucus plug a week ago (something my doc said not to worry about.) It went on all night long... baby is moving.. so no worries there, but im really wondering what it could be. I know what labor felt like before.. and it doesnt feel like that.. but it hurts, ALOT. Any suggestions? Im hoping he calls me back quick.

Your baby is probably just stretching down.
With my daughter, she used to head butt my cervix, and it would stop me in my tracks.
But of course, wait till your dr returns your call.

Does it experience unexpected, sharp, stabby and now and lower back numb? if so it would merely be toddler's head pressing on nerves. i'm 35 weeks and have been experiancing this for some weeks now. i'm going to be strolling alongside and suddenly lose sensation in one or the two legs, with a pointy discomfort in my pelvis. frequently if i attempt to stretch far flung from the discomfort it is going to bypass away slightly, yet while no longer it frequently in uncomplicated terms lasts a minute or 2 besides. For me i understand it isn't any longer an emergency, yet merely a demonstration that toddler's head is settling down the place it needs to be. I undergo in ideas this with my first baby, and my well being care expert instructed me it grew to become into common then. those previous couple of weeks would be slightly tough!

My best guess after 5 pregancy myslef is the baby is turning and or dropping into postition. I only got that feeling with my 3rd and 4th pregancy. As long as no water is gushing and no bledding and you feel baby move all should be fine. If the dr is taking longer than you like go to er or hospital og ward. the would be more than happy to take a look and call in your dr if needed. Good Luck and congradulations!
