I want it to be a surprise for him where is just me and him alone before we can let our families know.

surprise him with a candlelight dinner for just the 2 of you, and tell him then.
or
wait until you are alone with him and give him a card that tells him. and stay with him while he reads it. maybe get the matching balloon to go with it.

The way I told my hubby we were having a girl (which we thought was completely impossible since he comes from a family of 4 boys, and my brother had all boys) was I took the ultrasound that clearly showed lack of penis... and got a frame to put it in. He was at work.. I ran by the bakery and got a pink cupcake, and the picture, and suprized him with it at work. He didnt believe me and still has his doubts its a girl, but at least he has the ultraound to prove it!

Well I can tell you what I did. I just had a girl and what I did was I went to the store and bought dresses and pink things and layed them on our bed then I told him I was shopping today and I left you something on the bed. When he walked in her new it was a girl and he loved the way he found out!

Bake a cake for him, frost it blue or pink and when he comes home that night ask him to cut the cake. Have a picture of the ultrasound on top of the cake and hope he connects the two.

Congratulations. Write him a letter along with a blue balloon and blue bear and send it to him at work. In the letter say "Hi hun. We're having a boy!"

Congrats on the baby. If he likes sports I would by the baby a sports outfit if its a boy! then wrap it and give it to dad to open. If its a girl, than you could do the same thing with a girl outfit!

the way i told my husband was i bought him a blue baby blanket with a soccer ball on it (my husband loves soccer) and i wrapped it up and gave it to him. he had no idea what the present was about until he opened it. he was soooo excited
