Why are some blacks hell bent on turning everything wrong in their lives into an issue of race?

It really pisses me off. I mean come on, the Civil War was over a century ago. The Civil Rights Movement was allmost 50 years ago. It's time to move on. In today's society it's allmost uncool to be white. What is going on? Special programs, such as black or hispanic-only college funds, are instituted and accepted. However, what about a white-only fund of the same sort? No, it's inherently racist. I say that there is a strong case that minorities are more racist to whites nowadays than the other way around. Sure there are some bigots out there and there allways will be, but as a whole the white community has accepted minorities and it's time for the minorities to accept the fact that maybe the reason they wallow in poverty is because of their own choices in life and what is promoted by your particular race's own society, i.e. meaningless sex, drug use, breaking the law, money, excessive expensive jewelry, and cars. We need to stop giving minorites special help. Help yourselves for once.

I am not generalizing all blacks or hispanics. I realize that a lot of them arn't this way. Infact I'm friends with a lot of blacks and hispanics. And yes there is a white college fund, but it's more of a joke it's not worth that much. One cannot deny however there is a good portion of the minority population that acts this way. I am not being racist because I am not telling a falsity to deliberatly smite a group of people. I'm just stating factual observations. For example, I was in line at the tailor. i didn't see this nice black woman infront of me and I basically cut infront of her to hand the clerk my ticket. Instead of acting like a normal person she decided to go nuts and start screaming that I was a racist and that her people have to suffer this daily. All the while I'm thinking to myself... Maybe you suffer this because you are an impolite asshole not because you are a black impolite asshole. Racism in today's society exists only because it is upheld by the victims of it.

o and by the way I am not racist. And the blacks responding using racist terminolgy against me is not appreciated... Ignorant white guy? How come I can't call you a ******? It's the same thing. So check yourself first. And maybe if you wern't ignorant you'd have the common decency and knowledge to reread what you write and revise before you post. O and another thing. Blacks sold themselves into slavery. So don't try to tell me if whites lived in Africa and blacks in Europe they wouldn't have bought. It's just the way life worked back then.

Because it's a lot easier to wine about how you're treated than to work hard to overcome it. And it's cultural conditioning. If your whole society sits around moping, you're going to do it too; espescially when the have's among your people have it in their best interest to make sure you are government dependant so you'll continue to vote for them to get handouts, rather than saying f the handouts I'm going to achieve one way or another on my own.

BTW, I'm not sure why nobody ever thinks, "Yeah the slave trade sucked, and yes the clan was bad, but without the slave trade I'd be sitting in malaria infested, AIDS ridden Africa running from genocidal jungle tribes. COnsidering my crazy self didn't have to deal with the clan or pick one puff of cotton, I have a sweet deal here in AMerica." Much easier to go with the party line of self pitty, I guess.

And below me, 11:11, you ever think the reason your university teacher filled your head with such nonsense is because the same people who get votes by keeping black people government dependant will also send handouts to the universities to wrap up the Teacher union votes. It's in your universities best interest to make sure there's a large, government dependant black population feeling used and worthless rather than making money through their own effort so they keep voting for the people who let them have wildly inflated sallaries for talking about the same silly book year after year.

Being the ignorant white guy you are, you have NO IDEA what kind of obstacles minorities face in this country. Regardless to what kind of racism whites may face, whites still have the upper hand in this country.
True, there are some who blame their issues on race, but there are plenty of people who work their butts off for a living and still face those race issues. And what have you personally done to help minorities. Not a damn thing. So get the hell off your little soap box please. We do not have any more rights than anyone else. Everything I have, I work for. I don't get, nor do I want any hand outs.

Still one more thing why should you be compensated for slavery. Do you know of any people alive today that were slaves? Were you a slave? Does your life directly suffer because your ancestors might have been slaves? Are the people who owned slaves alive? Do thier descendents own slaves? You obviously don't read because I stated before that there wouldn't have been slaves unless the warring tribes in Africa hadn't decided to sell their captives and own people. So why should we compensate you. You don't suffer, and money is useless to dead people. So what do you want? Why do you specifically deserve anything? From what I can tell your mother deserves a slap for not teaching you any manners. So go wallow in the hole you call life and keep blaming others for your shortcomings... Sparkle.

First off, it sounds like you're saying all blacks, and if so, then you're wrong. I personally don't have a problem with white people. I have a lot of white friends. My issues are not with you, and the people that use that as a scapegoat, well you have to ask them. You can't say they wallow in their own choices because of those reasons because some people are poor and it's not because they buy cars and use drugs. I know white people who are hanging on the corners begging because they lost it all so it's not just blacks. And there are scholarships out there for just white people. And scholarships are decided among a group of people so if there weren't white only scholarships, then blame it on white people for not making any! There are many blacks that have accepted whites...my grandmother grew up back in the days of when everything was segregated, but she has white friends. Minorities are not the only ones getting special help. Whites go down to get food stamps and welfare just like the rest. Next time check the facts....you just don't hear about whites doing it as much as the broadcast the blacks. I don't want to sound racist, but I had to set that straight.

the reason why they have those things is because everything in this country is made for mostly white people, the country is majority white, u guys dont have to put a label on something being white only becasue we already know it, like the channel bet, we just wanna be able to see ourselves on tv, we dont wanna see blonde hair and blue eyed people all the time and havin one black person or hispanic person on a show doesnt cut it, if u lived in a country with mostly black people wouldnt u wanna have a channel with your culture on it!!!! i think the asians should have a channel, and also black people still feel the effects of slavery and racism that supposedly ended years ago, if there wasnt affirmative action i really believe that places would not hire minorities because people still believe white people are far more intelligent than every other race even if they say they arent racist!!!!! and maybe so more minorites are racist can u blame them i mean im not racist my boyfreind is white, but i choose not to watch stuff about slavery and the klan because it makes me upset becasue that is how black people were cheated and it makes me mad knowing that could be me, and the whole klan thing i mean some stuff they say is kinda true but a lot of it dont even make since they wanna talk about every other group of people except for themselves

And maybe its time for you to realize that you are where you are today because your great grandaddy had slaves who built this country. Not matter if it was a gazillion years ago; it still has an effect today. As you know, these institutions were put into place because of racism. Whether these institutions are still needed today is a moot point, however, you can't deny they once were definitely required. Have you heard of insurance redlining? Read up on it. Generational poverty? Some more homework for you.

I could go into detail about why and what and blah blah blah, but in the end, you'll still believe what you want so I'm not going to bother.

I am not racist but I am inclined to agree, and what you said is not racist at all, in my opinion. It is a valid point. It's easier to blame white people for all of your problems than to make something of yourself and realize that only YOU have the power to change things. There is always some activist group claiming that the prison population is dominantly black. Maybe if they stopped breaking the law that wouldn't be the case. Do whatever it takes to be a success, and if you fail, blame yourself, not society and the white man.

You and the rest of the racists out there need to admit your racism and start compensating Afro Americans for slavery compensation, that would be a good start.
