I would have to say ego. Everyone has an ego, some higher than others, and that in itself I don't think anyone loses until they're burried or burned (if you catch my drift). I know some people that thrive in life on their ego alone. They may be a**holes, but if it wasn't for their ego, they'd probably be in some mental hospital or psych ward and I don't wish that kind of life on anyone (even my enemies). Some are born with no ego, and I envy them and applaud them. We need more people like them in life. Not that I'm saying having an ego is "bad" per say, but again, we all know what happens to people with too much of one ego.

Hope this helps.

Intellect can be lost easily, just have a couple drinks too many and it's gone, sympathy can be destroyed by one person abusing it and taking advatage of you through it, so that's easy to lose as well. Ego can be destroyed for some by one clever comment that strikes a nerve, so that too can be easily lost. Humor, humor is the last defense and cannot easily be shaken. Humor comes out when all else has failed, when all else seems lost, and therefore humor is the hardest to lose.

It depends on the person, and it depends on the point of view.
When you say the hardest, do you mean the hardest for me or for the ones around me, or everyone who is implied in the situation?

It depends on what affects you more, but you can't give an exact answer because there are a lot of things that should be taken in consideration when answering.

For people who base their life on intellect and value it, it will be harder to lose it. For kind, generous people, losing sympathy will be hard to deal with. But from another point of view, for smug, mean and harsh people, losing the bits of sympathy they have left might not make their life more difficult in the sense that they will be unhappy about themselves, but it will make it more difficult in the sense that it changes them. It's a change they don't value, but one that affects them still. And the consequences of that change can make them unhappy, therefore the change itself can make them unhappy indirectly.

Losing sense of humor can affect you if you are either a depressive person or if you're a very happy, optimistic, funny one.

And losing ego... *chuckles*... losing ego can affect you personally if you're smug, selfish or narcissistic, but if you look at the big picture and the whole life image, it actually is a good change.

Ego for me
I can never lose my sympathy or humor and I barely have any intellect to let go of, so ego's the hardest

Sympathy is definitely the easiest to lose, but hardest I'd have to say would be a tie between Intellect and Ego.

Intellect is easy to lose...ask anyone that has more than 1 kid!...which is kind of an answer to your second part..if you have kids you MUST have a sense of humor...and I can barely spell ego anymore...let alone remember what it was!
