Although Ronaldinho and Drogba have both been good, the best player in the world right now is C Ronaldo. His scoring is great, his moves are unbelievable (and unlike Dinho, at least he uses them) and his crosses and passing are getting better and better. If Man U wins the title then he is player of the year for sure...he already has premiership player of the year wrapped up.

As UEFA champion league and UEFA cup are still in progress, it is too early to select the best player.
But, till now, I will select Drogba from Chelsea because of his consistent performance.
Drogba is now one of top scorers (5 goals) in UEFA Champion League. Another two scorers are Kaka and Morientes.
Remember, all the goals scored by Kaka and Morientas are not against favourite teams.
Drogba score 2 goals against Barcelona, one in home and one away.
The first goals made Barcelona lost.
The second goals brought Chelsea to last 16.
I think Drogba almost "kick" Barcelona out of Champion League.
So, who can score goals against Barcelona in both matches?
Only Drogba!!!
So, the best player is Drogba.

Ronaldo (Man Utd)
He will be the best player in the world for a long time. Such skill on the ball that he reminds me of the Brazilian team from 1982.

Wayne Rooney for Man Utd simply because he is not scoring and Man Utd is still progressing in the UEFA Champions League. God knows what will happen when Rooney starts his scoring spree! ! I bet 20 goals at least for Rooney this season
