Well, don't lie, because that is obvious to some skilled interviewers.
Some people tell you to take something that could also be a positive.
"I tend to get so involved in my work, I need to have someone tell me when 5 o'clock rolls around."
or something outside the scope of the job you are being asked to do...for instance, if it's a people-person job, you could say
"I'm great with people, but I would be really bad if I were asked to do bookkeeping, I get bored working with numbers all day."
If it were the bookkeeping job, you could say,
"I do great working with numbers all day, but I'm not much of a people person, and would have a problem being in sales."

You don't say you have a weakness. That shows inferiority, a bad quality to have. You shouldn't answer the question at all. A truly good boss doesn't ask such trivial questions. If you are asked this, just throw the question right back: "What's your weakest area?" "No. What's YOUR weakest area?" Just like that. This move works especially well if you follow it by flipping the desk over onto the interviewer. You shouldn't have to tell about what you're bad at. That's their job. You can help them get their job done better next time by hurling all the pens you can find on the desk at the interviewer. If you follow these instructions you are guaranteed a job.

"I tend to worry to much about doing my best"
"I talk a lot, but only because I am trying to explain a lot to new hires"
"I sometimes procrastinate, and need a kick in the butt"
Who knows what YOUR weaknesses are, but what ever you do, be honest! Also, I would NOT try to say what you think they want to hear, tell it like it is, we ALL have weaknesses, and they want to see if you are honest about yourself! So do be! :)

try this:
i am a little bit of a control freak.
example:
when given projects to do ... i tend to take over because i feel that the finished product is a reflection of me .. i like my work to be excellent ... and i know that if i do it .. it will be excellent ... it will be done on time ... so i have no problem taking over ... and equally giving everyone credit ...
their response:
thats a good thing.
thus:
you have a win win situation

No---don't say what Mom_ says....your boss may then expect 100% availability.
How about I have to be careful, I tend to be too meticulous, I have to make myself aware so it does not impact deadlines. I have been working on it.
