Well... I had a dream that I went out with my family and ate some chinese food ( I rarely eat chinese food in reality) Anyhow it was really good but I overindulge myself I ate in massive quantities like never before and felt so disgusted and very bad about myself with the amount of food I had eaten..... That was pretty much my dream yet I also would think that the reason why I would dream this its because I went to sleep with an empty stomach but i'm still not sure ... maybe it means that I should control my eating habits what do you think?

It's a metaphor, albeit one with possible literal meanings as well. In what way, in your life, just before the dream, did you feel guilty for having "overindulged"? It's probably not about food, but something else that made you feel like you had overdone it.

You are the final authority on what your dream means.

You are the dreamer and only you can analyze the dream. For starters, think of how everything made you feel when you were dreaming each part. Are you taking on too much at school or socially? You said you were hungry but that you don't eat Chinese food very much. Do you worry about your weight when you are awake? (All women do) You test out your feelings at each point of everything you remember and find the answer within yourself. When it's right you will know it. Good Luck!

I think the underlining factor in this dream is the fact that you were enjoying something new. You might have felt guilty because for so long you judged it as a never and after all it was really tasty and satisfying. Your dream could be a symbol of unfamiliarity and maybe you're a little cautious.
"To dream that you are overeating or not eating enough, signifies your need and lack of spirituality and fulfillment in your waking life. Food can represent love, friendship, ambition, sex or pleasure in your life. Thus, food is seen as a metaphor to fulfill and gratify our hunger of love and desires." ....dreammoods.com

Eating = desire
Overeating = way to react things you don't get

Looks like there are something in life you wanted so bad and yet in reality you don't get it. Projecting overeating in the dream shows how desperate you have to have your desire fulfilled. However, subconsciously you are aware that you don't have that ability to do so
