Isaiah Thomas years ago did a bounce pass to a team mate for an alley-oop and the ball went in on it's own for two points. He bounced passed from fairly far out but not quite three point range. If he had done the pass from beyond the three point line and the ball had bounced in back of the three point line it would have counted for three points. Your shot while not a pass went in after landing on the ground in the two point area of the court. Therefore it counts for two points.

The answer is: it doesn't matter because you're playing with people who don't know how to play basketball. You've managed to not only shoot so high and so short of the goal that it must have landed somewhere between the freethrow line and the bucket before it bounced in (which i've accomplished many times while playing HORSE)- AND no one grabbed it when it landed and bounced into the basket. Who the heck are you playing with?! I'm sure if you called it 4 points, your opponents wouldn't care.

It is a two point shot. Only if you make a shot behind the arc(Three point line) is it a three point shot. If the ball was shot behind the arc, and then bounces on the ground, then it is an air ball. If it goes in to the basket afterwards, then it is two points. So, that is why it is a two point basket.

a 2 pointer...cuz the three would count as a miss, and the bounce would count as a follow up by the court itself

It counts as two points as long as there is time on the clock. If time expires or there is a foul before the ball hits the ground no points are awarded.

Neither. Unless tapped in by a player, the basket does not count.
