Normal rate - 10p or 12p usually depending on your operator - unless you've got free text allowance or something obviously.

I think there is an initial fee and then back to your usual rate or there abouts, however i might be wrong, it might depend on your network provider, if i were you i would ask them, i don't think you will get the answer from here, i can tell you it costs 40p per text to France on T mobile but not Australia... good luck

I used to text my friend in Australia alot a couple of years ago and O2 charged me 13p
