I got reported and my answer was just removed. Technically, whatever I had written was not an answer.

I would say say as Becca,
I was reported apparently and apparently I had not answered the question!
Well I don't know who reported me or why but my answer was deleted and I lost a couple of points. If its more serious though I think YA can actually ban someone but I don't know for sure as I obviously haven't done too bad!
Hmmm the little things that people report for!

They get a form letter from Yahoo telling them they were reported for a violation. I've gotten several but they don't mean anything... I usually respond to explain how ridiculous it is that I was sent a violation notice.

I've been reported maybe 20 times all that happens is your answer gets removed.

i was reports by someone for calling her a dirty name and all yahoo did was send me an email saying that you were reported and my answer was removed for her questions, nothing else happens, cuz i am still on here.

They can lose points, get suspended for a certain amount of time or have their account deleted and no longer be a member of Yahoo

They get a violation notice and Yahoo threatens to terminate their account meaning e-mail, YIM, everything.

Their answer gets deleted and they lose the points they got for posting it. I don't know if there is more that gets done if there are repeat offenses.

happens enough they get reported to their isp and are permanently blocked from the site.
