I would say yes, but I would go to a search engine and look up Houston Texas then look up median or average income. The more under 130K, the better your probability.

You could make it anywhere in the US on 130K per year. Granted in San Fran or NYC you would have an extremely small apartment but you'd make it. The national average income i something like $30k or less.
Specifically to Houston, you'd be in a great situation. The cost of living is below the national average and housing is very cheap by all national standards. Plus there is no state income tax in Texas. You'd be stylin' with a 130K income.

Depends on what you consider "making it". Many people live on less. It all comes down to what your standard of living is. Whether you are living in a one bedroom apartment, or you want to own a 5,000 square foot house.....or whether you want to be driving a Honda, or a Ferrari.
