I'm a Chiefs fan, so I have watched every game of the season. Damon played better than Trent has played in every one of his nine games he has started. Trent has looked awful since he returned, and it almost cost them the playoffs. When Trent went down for a series on yesterday Damon immediately led a touchdown drive.
I know my opinion does not count, but when will Herm Edwards stop giving Trent Chances. He hasn't looked good since he came back, the rust period is over. Damon is the guy to prepare....

LJ can't run 50 times... He had 416 carries during the regular season...

SmartJ, have you seen Huard's numbers? 10 TD 1 INT, a lot of yards. He looked at least decent in every game he played in.

Yes they should Damon is better prepared to play playoff football at this point in time Trent is rusty at this point and you dont want to risk the win on a rusty QB

Huard looked good in the first couple of games, but could not move the offense for long periods of time in the last few games he played. I'm not sure if his dismal numbers were the result of his own ineptitude or Herm Edwards' insistence on running Larry Johnson into the ground, but Huard isn't going to win against the Colts.
Not that it really matters. The Colts won't want to tackle LJ, so there may be no need to even put a QB in the game.

Expect Trent Green to start. QB position will not be important in this game as Larry Johnson will dominate the run against the broken down Colts defense.

Being a Pittsburgh, PA native, and yes a member of "Steeler Nation", ....I think it is best to put in the veteran since I'm concerned about Huard's lack of playing in "pressured situations."
Trust me...Da Colts are fully aware of what they need to do defensely and will bring the heat, whether against LJ or the QBie....
Remember we were in your situation a few games ago when Big Ben was hurt, came back inconsistent yet we have a qualifed backup (Charlie Batch) who won three of four games last year btw...awaiting on the sidelines...sadly, we lost that game too (ATL)...
It has to be Trent Green...experience vs first yearitis!

I think the Chief's best bet is to just let LJ run all over the Colts. Indy has a great pass defense, and KC has no real recieving threat. They do, however, have one of the top running backs in the NFL, and the Colts had the worst rushing defense in the NFL.
Simple answer....forego the pass early, and just let LJ do his thing.

haurd will play this game. the passing game is not going to be a big factor this game. larry johnson will DESTROY the colts. he will have over 150 yards and 3 TD's. the colts will lose either this game or when the play the chargers for the AFC championship. no team is better then the chargers because they have the best the overall team in the NFL not just the AFC.

Personally, I would have to start Damon Huard if I was Herm Edwards. Green is not what he used to be and Huard had this team rolling while Green was out. I always thought if it aint broke dont fix it and KC was doing jfine with Huard in there, while GReen was recovering from concussion. Anyhow Green is in his mid thirties and may be time to retire for him. Run Larry Run, Colts defense is so pourous. Watch KC beat them I just know it. 27-23 Chiefs...
