Hmm, I'd be reluctant to buy it. You could spend a few quid more (like 20) and get a laptop with centrino duo but also with firewire and 4 usb 2.0 ports as opposed to just 2 that this one has and no firewire. It all comes down to what you plan to do with the laptop. There are always better value laptops somewhere but it's like any sale, it's only worth buying if you need it. If you plan to do a lot of video based work like editing etc or otherwise then you need firewire and a good processor. Dell is overrated. Yes they are reliable but they are not better value. Everytime I need a computer I look at them and am always disappointed. Alway read the full specs before purchasing as that's where the catch usually lies.

The laptop is fairly priced. The cost is brought down by using an economy processor. This is bascially a bottom feeder laptop.

You are better off buying from a manufacturer like Lenovo, HP/Compaq, Dell, or Gateway.

I would go with a dell that brand will be easyer to get parts for it will probably be around longer

no! i agree. log onto dell website you will pick up a much better spec for the money ,often they will throw in extras such as extra memory.
