I just bought an xbox over the weekend, i attempted to connect my zune to the xbox, using the usb cable and it doesnt recognize it, says there are no playlists or any portable music devices connected. do i need to update my xbox already so it will recognize the zune?

http://www.zunescene.com/ you can go here. It's where many Zune users look for tips. Especially the forum. I think Zune is great and hope you get to like it too. I heard it goes with the Xbox 360 ok. Although there's really not much the Zune + Xbox 360 integration you expect. It's still seems kind of small and low. Nothing really much to do. Anyways, I hope you find your answer and get it.

my iriver would not work neither then I relized that it has to be set to use the usb as a output, my iriver would not do it, but I know that the ipods do, I think that your Zune will do it
but go into setting and set up the output to usb not to 1/8 inch
