I want to have a baby so badly... I had a D & C to try and correct my irregular periods and they took a camera and looking in my uterus and took a piece of it because i had a cyst that was showing up on ultrasound.. Well my doc says everything looks fine in my uterus BUT there was A LOT of scar tissue covering my left ovary and i guess my tubes there too... he said he doesnt know if my tubes are open or not and i will have to TTC for about a year and if no luck then they will stick dye up my uterus to see if my tubes are open. I am a lesbian so i guess my question is it possible with all the scar tissue to still get pregnant and if my tubes are closed can i still get artifically inseminated?

Your tubes have nothing to do with artifical insemination. Hormones will be used to prep your body and several eggs will be harvested from your ovary. Harvesting is surgical so they will just cut through any scar tissue. Implataion takes place in the uterus and it sounds like that area is fine. Also being a lesbian you have the unique oppertunity to utilize your eggs and your partners uterus if there is a problem. Good Luck!!!!

Why don't you let your partner have your baby?

*hugs* all the best,
