Simply put - Don't do it!! If you must, keep it simple, no strings attached and use common sense when meeting with this person. Don't go places where you are known or can be seen. Pay for everything in cash, do not give gifts, etc....Most importantly - don't talk about it to ANYONE!!! It is inevitable that you will get caught eventually so my best advise is to refrain from having an affair. It is truly not fair and disrespectful to your spouse, not to mention immoral and that fact that everyone gets hurt. Do yourself and everyone involved a favor and leave the relationship you are currently in before hooking up with anyone else but you must remember that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

The absolute best answer is to not have an affair. If you do, then you can get caught.

You know...divorce or separation is always an option. Inevitably the truth comes out unless your partner or spouse is completely cut off from the neck up. Decide whether the thrill is worth the inevitable consquences. Plus you are the one who will be "caught." you will be caught in deception, guilt and most probably deep regret.

That's sort of like saying,"should I have unprotected sex with a stranger."

Not a good idea, but if you've made up your mind to go through with it......

Be extra, extra careful. Cover all your tracks. Any little thing might tip her off. Perfume, stray hairs, makeup.

Maybe someone will see you or your car where it shouldn't be.

You might get in a traffic accident with this person or be on your way to visit her/him. Busted.

Rule # 1: Dont tell ANYONE!
dont go out in public.
dont get emotionally attached
End it as fast as possible because you'll live with the guilt forever and you'll end up hurting yourself, your partner or your lover.
Dont go to bars together as when you get drunk, your inhibitions fly out of the window and you'll end up giving yourself away.
obviously, dont do it, but, as we are human, these things happen, dont beat yourself up about it, but try to work out WHY you are doing it. Cheating is normally a symptom of some other problem.
You could confide in a shrink, they are bound to secrecy and you'll probably find the source of your problem easier.

No. You should've asked advice on how you could have cheated without getting caught.

how about not having one. I'll never understand why people get in commmited relationships who have a tendency to cheat. Think about the other person for once. imagine if it was you. I've been cheated on before and it sucks and it hurts. It's my fault for choosing someone who didn't care about my feelings but trust me put yourself in that place.

yes, if its marriage, the spouse checks the phone

if its a girlfriend/boyfriend, chances are they dont

thats all the help ill give you, but in the long run, affairs arent really worth it, it will warp your mind, just please, whatever gender you are, (cant tell from name nor AV..) just dont give your gender or YOU, a bad name for some lust your having

discuss it with your girlfriend/boyfriend or spouse, and ask them if they want to try whatever your doing with the mistress (or guy)
