I have to make a presentation about southern European countries. Should I include France in it ?

You can. France is in fact at the intersection of South/Latin civilizations (Spain, Italy) and North/Germanic ones (Germany),
and there have been both influences (not to mention the Celtic ones). But the language is of the Romance family (coming from Latin), France was part of the Roman Empire... Keeping France is good, it would be interesting in fact, to study how much "southern" France is !

I wouldn't. France is not considered a southern European country.
