1) Conductor--Copper is almost exclusively used in electrical wiring.
2) Insulator--Polyethelene is a kind of plastic, and wouldn't carry an electrical current.
3) Insulator--Wood ins't a good conductor either
4) Conductor--Steel is a metal, and as a rule, metals are typically good conductors.
5) Conductor--Again, aluminum is a metal and therefore is a conductor.
6) Insulator--Electricity doesn't flow well through air.
I'm not positive on all of these, but I'm pretty sure that they're all right.

copper: conductor
polythene: insulator
wood: insulator
aluminum: conductor
air: insulator
stainless steel is the if'y one:
In a lot of cases it is considered an insulator, although a rather poor insulator.
In other cases it is considered a conductor although a rather poor conductor because of the tight bonding of the valence electrons.l.

They are all technically considered conductors. Even air can conduct the flow of electrons depending on the electomotive force or voltage applied. All substances have their own unique level of conductivity and resistivity.
