All of the above answers should get it up and working again but, also check your BIOS settings. Make sure (if you have any) that the mouse connection is enabled. If it is wireless, press the buttons on the bottom of the mouse and on the top of the receiver. That should fix it, if it doesn't then, turn off your PC, then unhook everything and plug everything back in. Make sure that your mouse plugs into the green port on the mobo and the keyboard plugs into the purple port.

Most of the time the problem is the mouse itself. Try a differnt mouse.

Wireless mouse ?
Press the reset button on the bottom of the mouse and (in some cases) on the reciever (infor red)

if its the ball type try cleaning the sensors around the ball (black wheels)
if optical mouse try un plugging and putting iy back may be in another (ps/2 or usb port )
if wire less or infrared mouse try restting and reinstalling drivers and check if ur batteries are still ALIVE..

If it's a USB mouse make sure the driver is installed. If it's wireless, check to see if the battery is dead.
