No, he didn't. His final companion, Linda Prichard, wrote a book in 1998 that is still available from amazon.co.uk as is another book about him by Terry Manners (The man who became Sherlock Holmes.) There was a wonderful book out with lots of photos about his stint as Sherlock which had some information about him personally, but was mostly photos. I'll check for the title if that would be of interest.
