FireFox. The biggest difference I notice is the fact that Mozilla Fire Fox does not crash nearly as often as IE. They also have a great feature that if your computer crashes, FF will open the tabs that were active at the time of the computer crash...this comes in handy.

I prefer almost anything to Internet Explorer. You see, Microsoft decided not to follow the industry standards for rendering Web pages, but instead went their own way on many issues, so that Web pages often look quite different in Internet Explorer than they do in any other browser. This is very bad, because the whole point of standardizing HTML in the first place was to ensure that the same page displays consistently across all browsers. I believe that there are also some silly security holes in Internet Explorer.

Firefox is a very good browser. Not only does it render HTML in a manner compliant with Web standards, but there are a lot of add-ons that you can install in order to add extra features to the program. Very useful. It's also got a nicer user interface than IE.

Oddly enough, the problems that I've mentioned with IE do not apply to IE 5 for Mac, which renders according to Web standards and has a lovely user interface. I don't know why Microsoft didn't incorporate the better technology into the Windows versions of IE.

I prefer AOL explorer because it combines the best features of the two mentioned, including a pop up blocker, anti-spyware scanner built in, tabbed browsing and it works well with many software firewalls

but if I absolutely had to choose between the 2 that you mentioned I would go with Internet Explorer since it co-operates better with firewalls than fire fox, which slows fire fox down

I prefer FireFox, and the difference was tabs, but IE7 has them now too. I think FireFox runs a little faster also.

I much prefer FireFox. Much more user friendly, it has true HTML compliance, and it doesn't suffer from virus attacks, since hackers concentrate on the latest MS software.

jordonkalina* is gay, FF is awesome!

Also IE7 does have some major improvements, and I believe it is waaaay better than IE6. Try both, see which one you like.

One of the great features I like in FF is automatic spell checker, using it all the time!
