About the same age your children will be when they realize how badly your music sucks, and about the same age you will be when you realize your parents music didn't suck as badly as you think it does now.

When I was a kid, my parents listened to a lot of progressive rock and I actually liked it. But I started discovering other types of music that I liked when I was around 14-15.

I was about 8 years old when I realized that I could put on my headphones and listen to good music, and not my parents John Denver. And I have loved music ever since!

My parents' taste in music has never really been that bad. In fact, they're weirdly enthusiastic about modern music. I started discovering new kinds of music of my own when I was about 11.

My parents listen to Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, and U2
Basically..their music doesn't suck

My parents listen to nothing but country. I really started to hate it when I was 12. Now I'm 14 and I love metal. Especially, Iron Maiden.
