Are you prepared to find a decent paying job that pays enough for you to pay rent, buy clothes, buy food and have enough left over for fun?

Are your parents really mistreating you or are you just not getting your way? I'm sure they want the best for you and they are just looking out for your well being. Don't be so quick to grow up because it's not all that fun having adult responsibilities. Trust me on this one!

Get a lawyer. Prove that your parents are unfit. Prove that you are capable of going to/finishing school AND supporting yourself (paying all bills, rent, getting yourself to and from school and work) AND that you are a responsible child. It is very rare that a 16 year old is capable of even part of that, nevermind all of it. Don't expect to be "free" of your parents and to have them continue to support you or to have taxpayers support you.

Get an attorney. Not all states recognize the concept.
