abortion by itself illegal, and is unacceptable and is a sin, and in some religions has the same god punishment of killing someone.

but doctors sometimes face situations where they are forced to do abortion for the safety of the mother which is very rare case.

Apparently I'm in the minority. I think it should be legal. It's done before the baby is formed. Most places wont do it once you get too near to your second trimester. It should be a woman's choice. No one elses. It's an option, it doesn't mean everyone is going to do it.

As for those of you who think adoption is such a great option. No, it's really not. I have a good number of friends that were adopted and are miserable. They aren't treated the same as the other siblings who are biological. They are mentally distraught over being put up for adoption and in some cases even suicidal.

The planet is already over populated, so why add more people to it who obviously aren't wanted here by their parents. Yes, I know it's the parents fault they had the kid, they should have been more careful. I'm not saying I would ever have an abortion, but I don't think it should be come illegal. If it were illegal, then like all other illegal things, it would be done behind closed doors and probably in extremely unsafe maners. Why not just leave it legal? It's not your body or your say. (that is directed towards anyone who is for it being illegal)

It will be done whether or not all of you like it or agree with it, so just keep it legal so that it can be safely done rather than some black market type deal.

I believe it should be legal. We were given free will. I however think there should be an age limit. I think you should have to have a license to have children. I believe if you are impregnated by a family member or a rape then you should be allowed an abortion but under 21 without parent consent no way. Legal ages are so jacked. 18 to kill a man but 21 to have a beer and no limits on killing a child. Its not the child's fault however some situations are unbearable.

it is not acceptable in any case: if u didnt want ur baby, u should have thought of that before
think of all the generations that you prevent by one abortion...its scary

Abortion should not be legal. If the baby is unwanted, give it up for adoption. In cases of rape, counseling during the pregnancy and after delivery should be compulsory.

legal i think,just because someone is pregnant doesnt mean they wanted to get pregnant,some women are raped and the emotional turmoil is too much to bear,some women who actually take precautions get pregnant,they could be homeless,there could be health reasons,there could be anything.there are women who fight to get pregnant and in later months find their baby so deformed that to have the child to term would be so cruel as there would be no quality of life anyway,everyone has their opinion and these opinions should be respected,but abortion isnt a quick fix for those who go out and just cant be bothered to use precautions because if they get pregnant it doesnt matter,,trip to the docs is all,that is my only problem with it as for the rest,,stuff happens and each case should be taken on its merits.

I don't think anybody wakes up in the morning saying "Gee, what a great sun-shiny day!!! I think I'll go get an abortion!!!". It is a heart-rending personal decision that the government has NO place in. You don't want one??? Don't get one. PS: If adoption is so popular why are there still so many unwanted children available???

Adoption is not a magic bullet and is not consequence free. People should be advised against abortion and helped to have their child with medical and financial assistance if needed, but they should not be punished by the government for deciding what gets to stay in her body.

If you think abortion should be illegal, then you hav to be a vegetarian. If you eat eggs, it's exactly the same thing. Personaly, i dont know why everyone is complaining about it. It's their own damn personal life, so stay the hell out of it. Let them do what they want. It doesn't have a mind of it's own yet, so who cares.
