Don't worry.

The windows system restore feature fails to fix 99% of common pc problems. It is virtually useless yet a lot of people seem to rely on it.

What were you trying to repair?

System restore works great, just look to the left of the date I.E.
January , and you will see a < click on this and it should bring up December calender ,click again November etc. You can only restore to a bold numbered date. I.E. 4 or 11 or 23 or 29 etc., it works every time I screw up. I just restore to an earlier date. Hope this helps you !

You may have inadvertently lost earlier restore points. This happens when you release disc space through a clean up programme or something similar. It clears them off as they take up space on your HD
