Ok, I Switched from W2/ Houry wage, to Independent 1099 (mid year)... My boss advised me to get a ficticious business name so I could write things off for a business... I called the county recorders office and got one... However I didnot make really any money and moved jobs... How do I file taxes? Do I owe???

it will take far too long to explain your situation on here. my advice, bring to someone that can see all the information on paper and will file the taxes for you. that way if they or you have any questions, the matter can be addressed by the documentation. it is not a difficult problem to solve but does require more paperwork and a little more time consuming. do not be worried

Honey, you need the help of a professional tax adviser. A CPA. Call one today and get this sorted out. You don't need to be taking advice on this from anyone else.

Report your 1099 it comes in the mail. If you owe, that depends on you adjusted gross income, or gross income.
