When you need the benefits, you'll be glad you took the job with benefits. You need to think "ahead", not in the "short-term". You'll need them when you're unexpectedly sick, need hospitalized, need long term care and last but not in the least bit "least", when you retire, you'll have peace of mind. You can always "spruce" up an uninteresting job, like listen to audio books while you work, etc. The question is, Be Happy Now or Be Happy Later?

Let me answer your question with a question: Are benefits more important to you than the work you do, or vice versa? If all you're concerned about is the quantity of benefits you're offered, then my suggestion is to take the uninteresting work "with a ton of benefits". If you're more interested in doing what you like, then take the job which allows you to do what you like. If you're smart, you can find a way to obtain the benefits you need. Good luck.

That really depends on your wants and needs, but my personal preference is to work in a stable environment... if you get the job with tons of benefits but uninteresting work, at least you're gaining experience and can find a job that better suits you down the road.

I'm always happier when I'm at a job I like. Sometimes no matter how great the benefits are, if you don't like the work, you are miserable. Good luck.

A Job You Like!!
You have to spend a lot of time at work away from your home and family, so I'd say it isn't worth it unless you really love what you're doing.
