I like T-Mobile but it really depends on what you have your phone for. Do you surf the Internet or just talk play games with it. Each of these provides are strong in different fields

Cingular

Everything depends on your area and the coverage available. T-Mobile worked best for me in Las Vegas, but I switched to Verizon when I moved back to Cleveland. Check the coverage area maps on each site to see which would be best.

Customer service at Verizon is awesome. T-Mobile is friendly, but for anything other than the 'norm' they needed help from a supervisor.

Sprint just plain stinks. Dropped calls no matter where you are, and customer service is not what they are known for.

I had Cingular for 4 days...they were awful and the "customer service" reps were rude.

I've had Cingular for 4 years, and it has been great. Few dropped calls, service in places where others have no bars, mobile-to-mobile minutes, option for early (7pm) nights and weekends, and rollover minutes to name a few benefits.

I have also heard from friends that Verizon is great.

Cingular is most definitely the best like they said #1 for least dropped calls.

Best for what?

Cingular and Verizon are both reliable with good plans and cell phones (I got mine free). Verizon has the best coverage.

T-Mobile is awful. Virtually no coverage and terrible service.

Cingular is the best and I'm not just saying this because I have one. It has the least number of dropped calls, and easy to use service. They have a wider variety of phones than most other carriers. I've had other carriers and I have to say this is the best.

TracFone.com (prepaid) is what I use, because I don't need a phone for "conversation" as a LTL Truck Driver, just for 1-2 minute calls, and I only spend about $7 a month for that convenience!

BUT, I will go with Verizon, maybe Cingular when I do get a regular cell phone account! :)

I have Cingular (network is just OK), but J.D. Power surveys show that T-mobile and Verizon are best in many categories surveyed (network, customer service, customer satisfaction) in regions where they are available.

I have Sprint, I like them. I hear good things about Cingular though.

In order, I'd say:
Sprint or Cingular
Verizon
T-Mobile
