I need help I just got my computer running again and I have two hard drives in it. Before I installed the Microsoft XP Home version and then I just installed the Microsoft XP Professional that I got from school. The only problem is when I log on It tells me to choose either the home version or the professional verson I dont want the home version on my computer anymore... how do I delete this previous operating system without having to delete my whole system and start from scratch? I just need to know how to delete it thanks a lot to anyone that can help me.

i think you will have to reformat your drive and reinstall the xp pro, you just installed the pro on top of the home without deleting the home first,you will have to format the partition c before you install the xp pro otherwise both pro and home will be on the drive

Keep every thing, do not delete you won't be able to boot up. just get rid of the choice menu so the computer will boot up strait to xp pro by doing the followings, click on start then control panel go to system then property then advance then go down to the last box click on it then UN check the two little boxes at left click apply re start you wont see that again.

go to home and your pro should automatically be on it either that or face the facts you need to call dell
