I'm in the 5th grade but I read like an 11th grader. Here are some very good books u should read:
1. Great Expectations (Charles Dickens)
2. Harry Potter 1-6 (J.K Rowling)
3. Charlie and the chocolate factory (Ronald Dahl)
4. Hamlet (William Shakespere)
5. Macbeth (William Shakespere)

I've read all of them (except for Harry Potter 5 which i'm reading now) and they were quite exciting especially the Harry Potter Series.

I love the Tortall books by Tamora Pierce. I recommend starting with Alanna: the First Adventure. Another very good fantasy author is Mercedes Lackey, especially her Heralds of Valdemar series.

If you're looking for paranormal books, I would recommend the Mediator Series by Jenny Carroll.

J. R. R. TOLKIEN
There is no better fiction on the market.
First read the Hobbit, then the Trilogy.
That's a lot of reading but very much worth it.

Three way tie between "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo, "The Idiot" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, and "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy. Amazing works.
