Hi all,

I am looking to find chemcial assay procedure of mercury though i tried to google it and at moment i dont have any other resource like library or reference materials to check it out . so any one here can pls help me with step by step procedure for assay of mercury , silver and copper. I need procedure exactly for determination of % of purity of above mentioned metals.

Samples will be metal alloys and it salts not geological one

You need to give us the media that the metals are present. This makes a big difference in the methods. Here is one procedure for mercury. Also, look at the EPA solid waste methods. Again, the media and the prep of the sample is the most important part and we need more data to help. If the sample is geologic, you probably want to do XRF analysis.

Any good Quantitative Analysis textbook should have a procedure for you.
